About the event

Dr Carwyn Rhys Hooper Dip. Phil., BSc, MBBS, MA, PhD (Law) is the Head of Humanities, Ethics, Law and Global Health at St George's University, London.

He is eminently qualified with degrees in Medicine and Basic Medical Sciences, a Masters in Philosophy, and a PhD in Law. Dr Hooper is also a member of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics Research Department, a member of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics International Forum of Teachers, a member of the International Association of Bioethics, a member of the St George’s Public Engagement Action Group and ex officio member of the St George’s Clinical Ethics Committee.

The lecture will commence at 8.00 p.m. and will be preceded, for any members who register, by drinks at 6.00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6.30 p.m.
